Claudia Pina

Claudia is the co-founder of Brighter Community Services. She has been working in the field for over 9 years, her expertise lies in Assessment and effective Discovery sessions in both English and Spanish. Claudia worked at Friends of Children with Special Needs for 8 years where she Managed the Living Service Program. Claudia obtained a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Claudia has worked and volunteered for several programs as a grant writer and Coordinator of events for the Special Needs Community but her true passion is advocating for clients’ and their families. Claudia has also volunteered her time in local schools to advocate for clients’ and families’ rights as they navigate the services they are entitled to. Claudia also dreams with bridging the gap for minorities and underserved communities to help them live fulfilling lives and be contributing members of their communities.

Nayeli Toto

Nayeli Toto is the Co-founder of Brighter Community. Before devoting her work full-time to Brighter Community Services. Nayeli served as Program Director at Friends of Children With Special Needs. Nayeli has a degree in law and background in public service. Despite Nayeli's interest in studying law, she has always known, her desire to be involved in human services and directly work with people that are in need are second nature to her. Nayeli believes faith took her into this career path, so that she could be able to support her own son, now seven years old, who is in the Autism Spectrum.

Nayeli has served the special needs community for over 14 years and is a relentless advocate for minority groups in our community. In recent years, Nayeli has also been training and getting involved in self determination and Independent facilitation. She has completed Person centered training, train the trainer and Independent facilitator certification.
